We suggest you purchase, at a minimum, a 1 year term to lock in their special low pricing. We will only support HostGator and A2 Hosting under our new support contract agreements going forward in 2021. The HostGator Business Plan is perfect for over 90% of our clients and the A2 Turbo Plan (for larger high volume bandwidth intensive and eCommerce websites) are recommended choices. Your current website support agreements prices will be adjusted lower to compensate for this change so there is no increased cost to you.

If you want to set up your account yourself so you can set your own username, passwords, security questions and support pin, you can do that here. Just follow the directions, then contact Rockbridge when you are done with the key information we need to complete the migration for you without any downtime.

Hosting Migration Steps:
DON’T HAVE TIME TO DO THIS? We will set up your account on your behalf if you have an active support contract with us at no charge. We will just need your formal approval and key additional information from you first. You can do that on our MIGRATE FOR ME page. You should also CALL / EMAIL or SET UP A SHORT PHONE CONFERENCE HERE with me first to review the details about what you need and to answer any questions you might have. The decision deadline is by the end of November 2020. Rockbridge Hosting is targeted to be closed by Jan 1st, 2021.
STEPS TO GET STARTED FOR ALL CLIENTS :
- SET UP A BUSINESS ACCOUNT WITH HOSTGATOR HERE
- SET UP A TURBO ACCOUNT WITH A2 HOSTING HERE (High Volume Accounts Only > 500 hits / day – NEEDS PRE-APPROVAL from John D.)
- Your Domain Names are transferred or purchased only after your account is set up.
- Select only one HOSTING PLAN above best suited for you. We can assist you – simply call us 609-631-0609 or better still set up a 1hr phone appointment here.
- WRITE DOWN THE SUPPORT PIN that you choose during the account set up process and keep it in a safe place to send us a copy! We will need that pin number to migrate (no charge) and support your website and email server for you as we have in the past!
- To get the best pricing, sign up for at least a 2 to 3 yr billing term so the promotional prices are locked in for the longest term!
- Be sure to fill out the billing and contact information correctly with a valid email address and valid credit card to be sure you can be contacted as the website owner if there are issues with your website. Remember to save the SUPPORT PIN you create!
- Finally — Forward the email you receive from your new hosting company containing your login information, username, password and support pin from the hosting company to us here at Rockbridge so we can set up / migrate your site to HostGator or A2 Hosting!
EMAIL – You should clean up, download and back up your email prior to moving to any new hosting company. We cannot be responsible for email that has not been backed up. Migration includes eMail but backing up is still recommended.
New Clients:
New clients can purchase a Domain Name, Website Hosting and Email from any of a number of major hosting companies. We prefer HostGator as we have been a reseller and affiliate with them for over 12 years and have found their uptime to be >99.995%. We recommend A2 Hosting for larger websites in excess of 500 views a day that need higher bandwidth and speed. You can purchase your Domain Name, Website Server Plan with Email from them as well. There are other hosting companies out there and if you already have one, (eg. GoDaddy, BlueHost, etc.) let us know who they are when you complete your Website Price Estimator. Original Message To Existing Clients Earlier This Year
Changes at Rockbridge Services, LLC – At the end of fiscal year 2020, we will no longer be providing hosting and closing our hosting division, Rockbridge Hosting.
Rockbridge Services, LLC our parent company remains open and continues as an authorized support affiliate for both HostGator and A2 Hosting. These are the very same large global companies from which Rockbridge Hosting has leased and managed the computer disc space where your websites have currently resided for over 12 years!
To make the transition to separate direct hosting easy for you we have set up a special migration discount for our clients with HostGator in particular. To compensate you, we will be lowering your support agreement pricing to account for this change.
What does this mean for our existing clients? We sent a copy of your server hosting login username and password details we have on file to you earlier this year to ensure you have the information to change hosting earlier in the year if you desired. Rockbridge Services, LLC continues to maintain a formal relationship with HostGator and A2 Hosting so we can continue to provide you technical hosting support. You will just be purchasing the computer space for your website directly from either HostGator, A2 or any hosting provider of your choosing. Rockbridge support contracts however will provide WordPress website support and also provide you technical support to act on your behalf but only with HostGator or A2 our approved hosting affiliates. We do NOT support GoDaddy or any other hosting companies directly!
Why the change? Rockbridge, cannot supply both unlimited server disc space and unlimited bandwidth at no charge as many of these larger hosting retailers do. For most of you it’s not needed, for some it might be a benefit. For the past 12 years we have been a hosting reseller for HostGator. Their up-time is exceptional, and that’s is why we use their servers! HostGator servers are also where your website files currently reside today branded under Rockbridge Hosting. We will continue to provide exceptional hosting support for any existing customer as long as you maintain your support agreement with us and keeping hosting with HostGator or A2 Hosting.
Can I go direct to HostGator or A2 as an existing client? Yes. We recommend it before the end of this year 2020! If you should need or want unlimited disc space, you can switch to HostGator or A2 Hosting directly and take advantage of the deep discounts with the links on this page! We will reduce your current support agreement pricing depending on the plan chosen to compensate for your direct hosting purchase. Your lowered support agreement price with Rockbridge will still be in place to provide you exceptional service. If you choose a different hosting company we will not be able to provide full technical support.
As long as you maintain your new lower cost support agreement from Rockbridge, and purchase your hosting directly from HostGator or A2, we can continue to act on your behalf with these two companies to resolve any problems just as we do for you today under your present support agreement with us!.
