RE: Rockbridge Website Hosting
I want to give you heads up that as of Nov 2019, Rockbridge Services, LLC will no longer offer hosting services, to new customers. Please don’t be alarmed! Nothing is changing for our current clients. We will continue to provide your present hosting just as we have in the past! However, after Nov. 1st 2019, any new client will be encouraged to purchase their hosting directly from, HostGator, (or with A2 Hosting for very large website sites). These are the companies from which we currently lease the hosting servers on which your websites currently reside. Rockbridge Services, LLC is an affiliate reseller authorized to provide technical support for both these companies! We are not however affiliated with GoDaddy, Blue Host, or any other hosting company other than HostGator and A2 Hosting.
Q4 2020 – Migration Plan for Existing Clients
LET ME EXPLAIN WHY THIS INFORMATION IS IMPORTANT:
- This particular transition is due to the fact that we, Rockbridge, can no longer supply both unlimited server disc space and unlimited bandwidth at no charge as these larger hosting retailers do. For the past 12 years we have been a hosting reseller for HostGator. Their uptime is exceptional, that’s is why we use their servers! HostGator servers are where your website files currently reside today under our company brand, Rockbridge Hosting. We will continue to provide hosting support for any existing customer as long as you maintain your support agreement with us.
- If you prefer a direct account with HostGator or A2 Hosting for the server space of your website you can purchase it directly from them if you feel you need unlimited disc space and bandwidth. Most of you do not. We will continue to provide you support as long as you maintain an adjusted support agreement with us. See details on our website. We have over 12 years of experience working with HostGator and A2 so they are our recommended hosting companies. Rockbridge will only be providing direct support for these two hosting companies as long as you maintain a support agreement with us.
